A global economy at its fullest potential through socially conscious, data-driven actions.

Nisto helps improve business performance by measuring, communicating and growing social impact.

Our tool of choice is data, and we support advanced data ecosystems that are relational, reflexive and mutually beneficial. All we do is informed by Indigenous values, guiding us to think truly differently about the frameworks, technologies, and relationships necessary to make change.

Our Story

Nisto began its journey on the ancient pehonan, often referred to as amiskwaciwâskahikan or Edmonton in Alberta, Canada, in 2018 by Indigenous and non-Indigenous group of makers, helpers, and builders.

The question that brought us together was simple: how can we aid the many forward-thinking, ethical businesses in the Canadian marketplace with technology to tell their story with more credibility and build stronger relationships with those communities they profess to have an impact with?

Since then, our team, ambitions, and understanding of what drives social impact and what effective measurement looks like have grown. The result?

The creation and continual improvement of foundational tools that leading organizations in Canada rely on today. But what hasn’t changed is our passion for enabling intelligent, sustainable practices in organizations that have outsized impacts on the communities around us.
