This guide simplifies the collection of diverse identity information of your employees, and then subsequently what to do with the data.


How to submit yours or collect your suppliers ‘Diverse Corporate Identity‘

Diverse Corporate Identity

Nisto encourages all vendors and suppliers including your business to fill out a Corporate Identity form. This step is post registration for the Portal.

Step 1: In the Nisto Portal. Select ‘+ Projects / Forms’.

This form allows any organization to declare under the following categories:

  • Indigenous Owned Businesses,

  • LGBTQ2S+ Owned Businesses,

  • Black Owned Businesses,

  • Person of Colour Owned Businesses,

  • Immigrant / Refugee Owned Businesses,

  • Woman Owned Businesses,

  • Disabled Owned Businesses.

Each type of diverse owned business can fall into both:

  • Self-declared Diverse

  • Third-party Certified Diverse

Where a business is Indigenous it can fall into 2 additional types:

  • Indigenous Community Owned

  • Non-Indigenous but Relationship with Indigenous Community.

The form also encompasses Social Purpose categories including:

  • Certified Social Enterprises,

  • Certified B-Corp,

  • Community Cooperative

  • Certified Living Wage Employers

  • and more…

All evidence of diverse identity must be provided through one of the recognized certification bodies.

Step 2: Complete the Corporate Identity form.

This form will allow you to declare your corporate ownership or social purpose and makes space for the evidence of certification or social purpose through an upload.


Contributions, Benefits and Procurement Data

How to Prepare your Procurement and Contributions Data and share it in the Nisto Portal

Step 1: Any expenses in your accounting system that ought to be classified as ‘Project Contributions’ please add a clear description.

Contributions and benefits from a project must be clearly captured and explicitly defined in intent.

Step 2. Involves compiling expense (procurement and contribution) data from your project's inception to the current monthly submission date.

Subsequent monthly submissions will include data from the corresponding month.

The data that is required can be easily exported from most CRM/Accounting and Payroll systems.

Procurement / Contribution Data

The necessary procurement data must be laid out in the following way:

  • Project Name

  • Vendor Name

  • Amount Paid ($)

  • Date

  • Contribution? (Yes / No)

  • Description of Contribution

This data is to be emailed as a  .csv file.
